Bad weather can put a damper on weekend plans. Worse, severe weather can present a danger to life and property. An all-band radio can help campers and travellers keep up with changing conditions.

This all-band radio is from Radio Shack.

The electrical connector to the roof wiring harness was shorting out inside the connecter. Though it did not trip a breaker, it did heat up quite a bit.

The roof-top electrical connector was heating up quite a bit from the internal short, and was burning the tenting material. This picture was taken after the new connectors were installed.

The roof-top electrical connector which was shorting out was replaced with these twist connectors.

To discourage varmits from chewing on the propane hose, it was covered with Flex-duit, which was intended as a flexible conduit for electrical wiring.

Varmits chewed through a propane hose causing a leak. If they did not have a gas problem after this, I did.

BackUp Lights

BackUp Lights

These are bumper-mounted fog lights. They are wired into center pin of the 7-way connector. On my tow vehicle, this is fed from the switched hitchlights. This allows these to be turned on either by a switch or when the vehicle is in reverse.
